THE FIRST MANUFACTURER OF CEMENT BONDED PARTICLE BOARD IN THAILAND
Cement Bonded Particle Board was first produced in Switzerland in 1967. Since the early 70’s, manufacturing plants have been built across Europe to cater to the demand for multipurpose, durable, weather resistant, easy to use, asbestos-free, and economical building boards. It was created to replace wood and wood-derived products in many construction applications. The product was first introduced in Asia in the late 70’s.
Viva Industries Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 1983 to produce this outstanding product in Thailand under brand name “VIVA BOARD”. A small-scale plant was built in 1984 in Chacheongsao, a small province approximately 80 km from Bangkok. Commercial production was commenced in 1986. Viva Industries Co., Ltd. is the first producer of Cement Bonded Particle Board in Thailand.
In 2003, a new and more modernized plant was built to meet the need of the industry. Viva Industries Co.,Ltd. is a Board of Investment promoted company. The company is certified for a Quality Management System ISO 9001 Standard. The plants are certified for an Environmental Management System ISO 14001 Standard. Our VIVA BOARD is conforming to Thai Industrial Standard TIS 878-2537 (1994) and European Standard EN 13986+A1. We are also certified for Thai Green Label Scheme (TGL-47-11), Singapore Green Label.
Through the years, continuous improvements have been made to the manufacturing process, not only to achieve higher volume but better quality as well. VIVA BOARD has been well accepted in Thailand. The product has been exported to Taiwan, Malaysia, Pacific Islands, China, Korea, Hong Kong, U.A.E., and other countries in the Asia Pacific Region.
